Swim Squad Awards

In a Squad like ours, excellence is everywhere you look.

Some athletes PB’d across every discipline. Some completed their first Ironman. Some travelled the world chasing start lines, while others quietly built season-defining consistency at home. Many overcame injury, doubt, setbacks, or fear – and came back stronger. And the nominations for all of our awards reflected that: pages and pages of heartfelt praise, admiration, and recognition for teammates who made 2025 unforgettable.

Some nominations celebrate speed, others celebrate breakthroughs – but this category celebrates something deeper.

It honours the people who lift the entire Squad just by being who they are. The athletes whose attitude, resilience, humour, kindness or courage make the rest of us stand a little taller.

Some moments make you stop and stare.

Some moments make the whole room – or the whole Squad – erupt in disbelief and delight.

Some moments are just… wow.

This category celebrates those extraordinary performances that left us all cheering, inspired, and asking: “Did that just happen?”

If there’s one thing our Swim Squad does better than almost any other group, it’s proving that improvement isn’t just possible – it’s happening right in front of our eyes, every single week. This year’s nominations capture that perfectly: lane-shifters, technique-transformers, cold-water warriors, PB-chasers, and swimmers who simply refused to stay where they started.

2025 has been a year to remember. A year of firsts, comebacks, breakthroughs, personal bests, epic adventures, and quiet triumphs. From cold water challenges, ultra-distance rides, marathon finishes, and Ironman milestones, the Squad has shown what it means to push limits, support each other, and celebrate every achievement – big or small.
