Coached Open Water Swim Sessions

I would have loved to attend my open water group sessions – or sessions like these – over my many, many years of triathlon training!

A coached open water swim session with structure, guidance, feedback, camaraderie, hard work and fun.

Sounds great doesn’t it?

My open water swim training – as is the case for many – would be a case of getting in, swimming a few steady laps and then getting out.

Session done. ✅

Because of this, I would have never relied on open water swimming for speed, swim fitness or even swim endurance. That work would all be done in the pool.

Our Sessions

The sessions that I run are a hybrid between structured pool sessions where you develop your speed and fitness, and open water sessions where you develop skills and become comfortable and confident swimming outdoors. A little sprinkling of technique is also added to the mix.

The swimmers that are attending these sessions are really feeling the benefits.

“Other than a session a week with you I’ve tried to fit 1/2 other sessions over the week but it hasn’t been consistent so this gain is down to you so thank you.”

A triathlete who has noticed big improvements in the open water and then had a big, pleasant surprise when she returned to the pool to find her pace so much quicker than it was in March.

  1. Hi bud . Where do you advise to try wetsuits on so I can begin open water sessions with you. I tried a few on of wiggle but no good. Cheers jase
