Super Swimming at West Lancs Triathlon!

Sixteen of our regular swimmers raced the West Lancs Sprint Triathlon at the weekend. How did they get on?

“Hi Bryan, just to let you know. Last year when I did this tri swim (400m) – 8.50 (watch time). In the pool today I swam 8.27 (watch time). I cannot believe it. I swam with your words in my head. It felt really easy. So thank you.”

“It was great, mate. Well, XXXXX beat me by a second, so flying really mate. Felt great. Tired the last few laps but I swam a minute faster than the same triathlon in August so a lot better!”

“The swim was great, the best part”

“I quickly caught the guy in front, I just felt so strong and quick. Everything went so quick, I was out of the water in a flash.”

“Had leaky goggles for the first three lengths, I had to keep stopping to sort them out. Once they were sorted I was flying, probably would have had a 400m PB. Still beat my swim time from last year!”

“I’m 100% sure my swim was 7.20 …last August it was 9.07, so I was faster this time!”

“Did you see XXXX swim time? He just did 10 minutes – that’s a 4 minute PB!”

One swimmer who had a PB of 9.18 in February, swam under 7.30 on Sunday. “Sub-8 minutes 400m today, Bryan! Made up. I’m so happy with it. Felt so strong too!”

“Feeling smooth, feeling strong!”

Great swims all over the place from our Swim Squad swimmers at the West Lancs Sprint Triathlon.
