For many triathletes, the swim sets the tone for the whole race. When it feels controlled and efficient, everything else flows. When it doesn’t, it can drain energy and confidence before the day has really begun.

Our swim coaching is designed to help swimmers and triathletes become calmer, more efficient and more effective in the water — whether you’re just getting comfortable in open water or looking to unlock faster, more sustainable speed.

Swim Squads

The Heart of Our Swim Coaching

Swim Squads sit at the centre of our swim coaching. Sessions are structured, coached and purposeful, with a strong emphasis on technique, efficiency and transferable speed for triathlon. Each session includes a dedicated technique focus, helping athletes not just swim more — but swim better.

Many athletes join the Swim Squads after working with us through technique sessions, 1-to-1 swim coaching, or triathlon coaching.

Due to demand, Swim Squads are often full and places are limited. When availability allows, we add additional sessions in the 50m pool on an ad hoc basis.

Technique-Focused Swim Sessions

Build Better Skills, Not Just Fitness

Technique sessions provide a focused environment to work on stroke mechanics, efficiency and feel for the water. These sessions are ideal if you want to:

– Improve your swim technique
– Build confidence in a coached environment
– Develop the foundations that make your swim training more effective

For many athletes, technique sessions are a natural first step into our swim coaching and often form part of the pathway into squad training when places become available.

1-1 Swim Coaching

Highly Personal. Very Limited. Exceptionally Effective.

1-to-1 swim coaching offers the most individualised support, with sessions tailored entirely to your technique, goals and experience. These sessions are particularly useful if you:

– Want highly specific technical feedback
– Are returning from injury or time away
– Are preparing for an important race
– Prefer a more personal starting point

Due to limited capacity, pool-based 1-to-1 sessions are extremely limited and often booked months in advance.

1-to-1 coaching is also a common starting point for athletes who later progress into Swim Squads when places become available.

Open Water Swim Coaching (Spring & Summer)

Skills, Confidence and Calm — Where It Matters Most

Open water swimming brings unique challenges that can’t be fully replicated in the pool. During spring and summer, we offer both group and 1-to-1 open water swim sessions focused on:

– Open water technique and efficiency
– Confidence and composure
– Sighting, starts, drafting and race-specific skills

These sessions are ideal for athletes preparing for triathlon, Ironman or open water swim events, and work particularly well alongside pool-based coaching.

Swim Training Plans

Structured Support, Wherever You Train

For athletes who can’t attend coached sessions regularly, we also offer structured swim training plans designed to improve technique, efficiency and endurance. While less hands-on than our coached sessions, training plans can provide valuable structure and direction — especially when combined with occasional technique work or coaching check-ins.

Whether that’s a technique session, 1-to-1 coaching, open water work or triathlon coaching, we’ll guide you towards the option that makes the most sense for you — and, where appropriate, help you progress into Swim Squads when places allow.
