Swim Squad 2022 … A few numbers!

As we prepare for our last Swim Squad session of 2022, I thought I’d have a look at some numbers …

SWIMMERS & SWIM SESSIONS

102 different swimmers have swam in our Swim Squads at Volair Huyton.

We’ve had 144 pool-based Swim Squad sessions this year. And we’ve never done the same session twice!

The 102 different swimmers, across 144 sessions, have totalled 2,300 swimmers in our Squads in 2022.

DISTANCE

If you had come to one of the Monday sessions plus a Wednesday Swim Squad each week this year, you would have swam around 290,000m.

Rough maths, but it you travel one metre per arm stroke, that’s 290,000 strokes. Taking account of turns, let’s say 250,000 strokes.

250,000 chances to perfect that technique, apply that power, and move well through the water.

It’s little wonder that the swimmers who started with us at the beginning of the year are very different swimmers today!
