Combining regular attendance our Swim Squad and triathlon coaching is a powerful combination.
Just ask Alan.
12 months ago, Alan was a relatively new triathlete. In February this year, he swam his first ever 400m. In the same month, he managed a 10.03 for the distance (2.23 per 100m).
By April, Alan had already improved and was swimming a 9.03 for 400m. (2.08 per 100m)
Six or seven months later, what do you reckon he’s swimming now?
Well, this morning, after a 1-1 swim session in July, regularly attending our group swim sessions – and by following a triathlon training programme with me for the past few months – Alan swam 6.55 for a 400m effort! That’s 1.44 per 100m.
That’s more than a 3 minute improvement over 400m! And an improvement of a whopping 39 seconds per 100m.
How amazing is that? Great work Alan!
Some fantastic progress there! I’m confident that there is so much more to come too.
Four Years Later …
Four years since I wrote this post. In that time, Alan and I have continued to work together, with Alan going on to complete Ironman Wales twice, as well as numerous other triathlons.
If you’d like to follow in Alan’s footsteps, get in touch and we can discuss your triathlon goals and how you’re going to get there!
