Swim Squad Works!

Whilst we’re in the mood for good news stories, some more swimmers significantly exceeded their own expectations at Triathlon Swim Squad this week.

Rachel knocked 25 seconds off her 400m time after 5 or 6 sessions at Swim Squad, now boasting a PB of 7.32.

Paula went from being unable to swim without a pullbuoy six weeks ago, to swimming 9 minutes for 400m and going under 2 minutes for 100m for the first time ever (a 1.58 100m at the end of a session!)

(Another) Rachel went from a 7.20 to a 7.07 400m after just 4 weeks with us. What’s more, the 400m was expertly executed and swam at ‘even pace’.

Do you remember the swimmer who was ‘stuck’ – and couldn’t swim 100m in less than 2.28 for two years until she came to our squads? Last night, Shirley swam a 2.03 for her 100m effort (a 25 second improvement!) and averaged 2.10 for her 200m and 2.15 for her 400m. Big improvements!

And how about Ben? Best time of 8.30 for a 400m before he joined up with us. Did the benchmark set and is now the proud owner of a 6.55 400m PB!

There are more performances like this. It’s fantastic to see.
