Here is a PDF of our ‘Top 10 Swim Sessions’.

The PDF includes three endurance sessions, three fast VO2 Max sessions, and four ‘on the edge’ threshold sessions. 

ENDURANCE SESSIONS

  • Broken 400m Pyramid
  • Strong Into Smooth
  • Changing Distance, Changing Pace

VO2 MAX SESSIONS

  • Above Threshold 50s
  • Broken 400s
  • VO2 Max 100s

THRESHOLD SESSIONS

  • Broken 250s
  • Grant Hackett 50s
  • Threshold 100s
  • Red Mist 100s

That’s 10 swim sessions.

You’re obviously not going to do all of them in a week, but these are sessions you can add to your own swim library.

For me, these are the sessions I will often turn to when I get to the pool and need some inspiration (Broken 250s is one I often get stuck into). Or when the public swim lanes are particularly busy, I might turn to one or two of these (Above Threshold 50s spring to mind).
